I was born in Norway in 1972. I work at Det Norske Teatret which is one of the main theatres in Norway. Here I work as a team leader for the the technical crew.
I live in Nesodden near Oslo with my two daughters.
I come from an artistic family, both my father and mother are artists. For me, photography has become my way to use my creativity.
It was in the early 90's I discovered photography when my mother lend me her old Pentax on a trip to India. I had great fun with this camera even if I didn't learn how to use it properly at this time. Over the years it's been on and off but since the beginning of 2000 this passion has become stronger and stronger.
I bought my first DSLR in 2007, that's when my interest in photography really took off.
I don't plan most of my photos, I always have my camera with me so I can capture the moment when it appears. I see myself as a versatile photographer, taking pictures of what catches my interest. I like taking pictures of people and the environment. I work mostly in black and white, often I find colors a bit disturbing. That said, I also use colors and will not call myself a black and white photographer.
Today photography takes almost all of my free time and I love it :)
